Abelardo Montano
About

Born in Hermosillo Sonora Mexico in 1960, Abelardo became a licensed Architect in 1985, the same year he traveled to Washington DC and met his wife. Subsequently, he moved to New Jersey where he established his permanent residence with his wife and two daughters.
An avid photographer all his life, in 2014 he began experimenting with the digital manipulation of his photography and drawings.
The intention behind his photographs is to expose the beauty of a variety of subjects through the enhancement of their color, texture and details which he captures through the lens and enriches digitally and through the printing process. He also applies this principle to his artwork which reflects the influence of his heritage and of his favorite Mexican painters: Rufino Tamayo, Francisco Zúñiga and David Alfaro Siqueiros.
