Well it's hard to give myself a bio of sorts, but I'll try my best. My name is Sean Lowery, I'm an abstract expressionist/ minimalism artist(painter, musician). I started my journey in the arts by reading the works of beat poets (Jack Kerouac,Allen Ginsberg, Gregory Corso and others). That eventually brought me to the paintings of artists such as Willem de Kooning, Mark Rothko, Robert Motherwell, Franz Kline and many others. It's not that I wasn't a fan of other more traditional art but I was drawn to work of more untraditional against the grain style art. My style of comes from the use of spontaneous grooves and flows. I believe some of the beSt art comes from the sub-conscience mind. Like the beats and other New York abstract avant-garde artist I believe certain substances can be used for inspiration and ideas (muses) in one's work. I finished high school in Sulphur Louisiana with all intentions going to McNeese State University in Lake Charles, but after a few on the road style trips with a couple of friends(fellow artists) who were enrolled at McNeese I postponed my engagement with college. I'm sure there's much more I can say but I will let my work speak for itself.
